Lowongan kerja : LIBRARIAN

An International Organization has a vacancy for a LIBRARIAN. The incumbent serves as a cataloger, prepares original bibliographical records for books, serials and other publication acquired for the Library of Congress and other American, in one or more of the following languages such as: Cambodia, Chinese, English, Indonesian, Javanese, LAO, Malay, Tagalog, Thai, Vietnamese, and other languages from European and Southeast Asian countries.

LIBRARIAN

Qualification required:
1. Bachelor’s degree (S1) from an accredited American college or university or from a foreign college or university of comparable quality is required.
2. A minimum of five (5) years experience at a full performance level as a cataloger is required.
3. Level IV (fluent) in speaking/reading/writing both in English and Bahasa is required. Level III (good working knowledge) speaking/reading/writing in Chinese or Javanese, or Vietnamese, and so on.
4. Must have advanced knowledge of culture, geography, and government of countries of the area that covered: Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Brunei, Thailand, Timor, Laos and Cambodia. Must have detailed knowledge of culture and geography as they relate to the oversea Chinese and East Asian communities in Southeast Asia where the works are from and/or about.
5. Must be able to communicate complex theories and advanced technical material in clear language, and be able to impart knowledge and provide constructive feedback to professional catalogers.
